Are You Willing to Trust? – Teachings from This Moment Is Your Miracle
Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are certainly a lot of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles available, but there should be something which you've hooked into, or caught onto? A thing that triggered a transformation or perhaps a major healing. So, the thing that was it?”
“Trust,” I said.
Consider your lifetime because it appears to be in this world with regards to the story. Just how do we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I do believe my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who's my source?” So whenever we speak about the final stage to the awakening being pure trust, it's simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and trust in most of these made-up concepts, beliefs and ideas in the world. It's similar to building a big house of cards, stacking using one card following the other. Then a good wind comes along and poof, it's only blown over. It can't even stand only a little gust of wind. It's so frail. It's so temporary. It's so transitory; It was this sense of placing trust in the Spirit and withdrawing trust in everything else; dozens of things that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we trust in those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy?It really comes down seriously to the essence of who is my brother? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried any particular one?So you are asking the question, “If someone dies or appears to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading is to the awareness that everything is mental.
What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is really a hallucination acim authors That is a world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn't reality at all. There's no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the text between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all this is it has for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way around number four, “These thoughts do not mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He's talking about thoughts. First He's talking about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 ... perception, perception, perception, perception, perception ... and then number 10, “My thoughts do not mean anything.” You will see he's wanting to melt everything together and show the final veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.
The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there's no such thing as time, to take us back compared to that timeless moment that's the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they're all illusions and that they're all equally meaningless. That's exactly the approach to operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to work with your brain to loosen the attachments from the investment in all kinds of things. What type of things can you invest in, in this world?
