Religious specialness refers to persons working out their egos' specialness, but disguising it as spiritual dress. What we are contacting “spiritual specialness” seems in the members of almost all religious or spiritual movements. That often will come in the shape of believing that the class or people have been singled out by Lord or the Sacred Soul to perform some holy purpose that will benefit humanity and lead towards the preserving of the world. Nevertheless, such intrinsic specialness is actually false with the teachings of A Course in Miracles (Few Select To Hear, p. 144).
Specialness can also be seen in a variety of other forms beyond the labels only mentioned. For instance, declaring who we “reveal the stage” with, i.e., other Course educators is the exact same limelight error.
