Shark NV360 – a review of its pros and cons

The Shark lift away deluxe vacuum is one of the best-selling machines of Shark. It features a detached canister that can be quickly lifted away to enhance its portability. But even the best upright vacuum cleaner has its strengths and weaknesses, and before clicking the purchase button, it’s best to know what its highs and lows are. This review will share with you what we like and dislike about this machine. Let’s dive right in!

I. What we like

1. Lift-away canister

The Shark vacuum NV360 is equipped with a detachable canister, allowing users to lift the canister away to turn it into a portable cleaner. Thanks to this feature, the machine’s mobility is significantly enhanced. Cleaning your stairs becomes much easier as you no longer need to awkwardly balance a heavy and bulky full-sized upright up and down a narrow step.

2. Excellent maneuverability

Thanks to the swivel steering head, the Shark navigator lift-away dlx vacuum cleaner is easy to maneuver. You can quickly navigate through obstacles like cabinets, sofa, tables with little effort. This advanced feature can remarkably save your time and energy on intensive vacuuming tasks.

3. Adjustable suction power

With a brush roll on/off control, this Shark vacuum is highly flexible. You only need to press a little button on the main body to adjust its suction strength when vacuuming multiple floor types. This feature grants the machine a smooth transition from carpet to timber, from low-pile to high-pile.

4. Extended reach

It has a power cord of 25 feet, which means you can clean an ample space without non-stop plugging and unplugging. Besides, its cleaning path is 11 inches, covering wide areas with minimal movement. Shark has undoubtedly put a lot of thought into designing this machine to ensure users' convenience.

5. Useful tools for homes with pets

Pet owners would find this vacuum a life-saver for its set of tools. It comes with a pet power brush, an air-driven bristle bar specially designed to tackle embedded pet hair on stairs, rugs, sofas, and upholstered surfaces.

You can also find a dusting brush, an appliance wand, and a 5.5-inch crevice tool to pick up dust and dirt from tight or hidden corners.

II. What we dislike

1. The hose is short

With a short hose, the vacuum can be inconvenient to use when attaching a tool on its end. However, if you use its lift-away feature, this weakness shouldn’t be a big concern.

2. The machine is top-heavy

When this Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 is in its upright position, it is easy to fall due to the lack of balance. Even when you pull or push it a little, it can topple.

3. The brush roll can get tangled

This con can be frustrating if you have a heavy-shedding pet. Even though this Shark vacuum does an excellent job picking up pet fur, its brush roll can get tangled with pet hair, which can be a pain to remove.

4. The crevice tool is a bit short

Since it’s only 5.5’’, getting into really tight spots can be a challenge. Therefore, floor cleaning and furniture vacuuming should be done regularly so that dirt and debris do not have chances to go too deep into the hidden corners, making it difficult to collect.

5. It struggles with large debris

In some of our lab tests, this upright vacuum does not pick up large debris like fruit loops or other cereals. Sometimes it can gobble them up quickly, but other times it just snow plows this debris around.

The bottom line,

According to Shark Navigator NV360 reviews, this blue Shark vacuum is well-made and affordable. Its performance on both hardwood and carpeted floors is unsurpassed. Even though it has some weaknesses, it is a good value for money.
