Thoughts and ponderings while I learn Markdown – and maybe MathJax.

You need to enable Markdown in WordPress. In your WordPress Admin page: Settings > Writing the check the box to Use Markdown for posts and pages. Be sure to Save Changes and you're all set.

Now you can just copy Markdown that you've written in an editor and paste it into the WordPress CMS. To type Markdown in the WordPress CMS you need to select the Markdown block under the JetPack header.
