I started a journey through the Fediverse.

I tend to switch between Linux and Windows every now and then. Basically I get frustrated by the constant problems with updates, bugs, lack of options in Windows and I wipe my laptop and throw a Linux on it. After that I'll spend about 2-4 days configuring it before using it for anything really. After using Linux for 1-2 months I get the unbearable urge to play them games, and while Wine is cool and all it's still a wonky emulation trying to run things that barely run on the real thing. So I switch back to Windows and the cycle continues.

I jumped into Linux about a week ago, and I'm constantly looking for new stuff that might be useful, new configs, new tools, etc. So I randomly found a Mastandon cli app and that's when I looked it up. After that I found fediverse.party and it just went on from there.

Now I am on koyu.space and really nice instance, with email, irc, gemini, mumble hosting, hell they have a minecraft server. I made an account on wordsmith.social as well and wow this whole Open Web system just blew my mind.

I'll probably either use this for content or a gemini server. Or maybe both who knows. Maybe I'll even try to automate the whole process.
