It's 3 am,I can't sleep because I have acid reflux, my laptop refuses to boot and I rage how shit everything is.

Let's start with Extinction Rebellion. What kind of rebellion doesn't have property damage not to mention loss of life? If you're not persecuted by the state, you're doing it wrong. FBI had a huge file on Martin Luther King. Mahatma Gandhi was arrested several times for his writings. Also, he didn't just organise marches, he disobeyed unjust laws.

I know very little about Gandhi and therefore I googled him and found following description:

In 1930, Gandhi carried out his most spectacular act of civil disobedience. At that time, British colonial law made it a crime for anyone in India to possess salt not purchased from the government monopoly. In defiance of British authority, Gandhi led thousands of people on a 240-mile march to the sea where he picked up a pinch of salt. This sparked a mass movement among the people all over the country to gather and make their own salt.

What kind of civil disobedience would be equivalent for climate change? If someone isn't listening to you, it doesn't help to shout louder. Especially, since I think everyone agrees that climate change is a problem, nobody just knows what to do about it.

You can't meet climate change in Geneva and threaten it with sanctions.

Everything is shit because everything is fake. People are trying to solve problems by talking bullshit. And when that doesn't work, they start to talk louder until they are shouting. Like calling your publicity campaign a rebellion.

Let's be adults about it. Nobody is going to fix environment or social injustice for us, if we just cry hard enough. We have to do it ourselves.
