Major Features added at Slowly Stamps WIKI !

We are in the process of doing some major renovations at our SLOWLY Stamps WIKI site. I am one of the admins there, and very happy with some recent work and additions. Starting with the main landing page : Listing of Stamps on SLOWLY

Best seen with Ad Blocking browser !

Before we proceed, a word of warning – the Fandom.com site which hosts our WIKI for free has an abundance of ads if you see it on a Mobile device (usually without an ad blocker as they are so rare there).

We recommend using a Desktop or laptop to view the site, as you get much more content on the screen. But it you need to use a Mobile, try one of the RARE mobile platform Browsers that allow Ad Blocking.

For Android users, I recommend Firefox, which is an excellent browser all around, plus supports Ad Blocking via extensions – uBlock Origin is available for it and recommended. Firefox's Play store page.

In this past week, thanks to the contribution of a new volunteer, we added New Country Gallery pages. One for each of 170 countries that have Slowly stamps, page has info on the country, a map of its location, and a complete list of all their stamps.

New Country Gallery pages !

Which contain various useful info

Here is an example – the SLOWLY Country Gallery for France.

Which looks like this :

The Gallery for France, top portion shown

And has all of their available stamps

Location, Commemoratives, Premium singles, Regional Stamp sets. Hand built, with care, as a useful reference for our collector friends. 🙂

The Gallery for France includes their Exclusives like this set

We made new pages for the Regional Sets !

We also built lots of new page for the Regional SLOWLY Stamp Sets — the pretty ones you probably don't know much about. Like the 'Pâtisseries françaises' one ?

Pâtisseries françaises custom Regional Set new page

And there are MANY others

...which are all listed here – Exclusive Regional Stamp Sets.

The other 27 Region Specific Stamp Sets got their own pages too

Worth mentioning our World Explorer pages

...as they are a major feature, listing and describing over 200 Location Stamps which most of us did not know about. This was a project I took upon myself last year, and completed in a month or so. I am happy and proud of it, as I was always curious to know what :

All of those are present and detailed in our World Explorer / Location Pages Category.

World Explorer Gallery has over 200 custom pages, one for each Location stamp

My sincere thanks

To Dorumin, who started the WIKI project, and has confided in me to be an administrator there, after seeing my past contributions.

To my new collaborator, Lindtsprungli, who has put in many, many hours and done wonderful work.

To LessonWang, who added many hundreds of stamps to the Listings.

To my friends in the Stamps Collections communities – Babacar, Bajaja, Silvia, Nadia and many others who shared their stamps, expertise and knowledge in supporting other Slowly collectors.

To the SLOWLY Team, who built this wonderful app that brought us together, across oceans and continents, in enjoyment of a great hobby.
