Yes, that happened to me, only once, but it's quite annoying, isn't it? That they would not pay attention to a simple detail like that, and give something the user will never use at all.
I found the Gift thing slowed down the loading of the program, and much prefer to use an older version which does not have it at all.

Inspired by a new topic posted on our subReddit for the SLOWLY app, I commented and ended up thinking this could be a nice Blog post too – the situation is so common, most of us in the pen pal communities can relate to.
So here it is, an extract of the on-going conversations there, plus my full 'Goodbye letter' to a cherished pen pal, who deactivated their account unexpectedly.
Their topic is new, and already received various replies back – the question they asked resonates with people, we have likely experienced similar situations.
I know I have, and I commented and shared some thoughts, suggestions and links to example letters I wrote and later published.
Plus, an example of a dysmal 'letter' which was a last straw in one of my penpals correspondences.
